Abstract: The secretion patterns of Luteotropic hormone(LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH) of three estrous and seven non-estrous pubertal female yaks were measured by using Elisa during 24 hours, and compare ovary’s growth and development situation between estrous and non-estrous pubertal female yaks through observation and tissue slice technology. The results indicated that the secretion levels of estrus female yak’s LH、FSH was higher than non-estrous female yak (P<0.001) during estrus’s 24 hours, LH presents impulse secretion, but FSH presents no impulse secretion. The ovaries quality, transverse diameter of estrus female yak’s were higher than non-estrous female yaks, and estrus female yak’s ovary mainly exist primary follicle、secondary follicle, but mature follicle rarely can been seen. Non-estrous female yak exist mainly primary follicle, seedless follicle.
